2016 high school seniors (and their parents) are welcomed to their final year of high school by a list of deadlines. The first one being the fast approaching deadline for their yearbook pictures. Although today’s senior pictures are not just for the yearbook, you should know when your yearbook pics are due at your school.
Most yearbooks for San Luis Obispo County schools have senior portrait deadlines the first month or two of school. Why? Because the seniors are featured in the first part of the yearbook that gets turned in to the publishers. Some schools even get discounts for turning their pages in early. Also, it’s one of the few parts of the yearbook that does not feature events or candid photos that are taken throughout the year.
So now that you know why, the big question is; When is your school’s senior portrait deadline? At Studio 101 West Photography we shoot mostly northern San Luis Obispo County seniors, although we also shoot seniors from San Luis Obispo and Arroyo Grande. Here are some due dates for the north county public schools.
Templeton High School: September 18th — they will usually extend that if they know you have a session already booked with us.
Atascadero High School: October 2nd — still plenty of time to get senior portraits you’ll be proud of.
Paso Robles High School: October 23rd
