Senior Portraits Should Tell a Story
I love doing combo portrait sessions when we start with studio portraits in the camera room or in our dance studio, then head outside for a more photojournalistic and natural look. Trynity is from the Atascadero High School class of 2018. She is also a talented ballet dancer and cheerleader among other things. I love it when high school seniors bring in extra props and clothing that help tell the story of who they are during this memorable time in their lives. That is part of what senior portraits should do. They should tell the story of me, right now, as a high school senior. That is why I try to get to know what each senior is into and encourage them to bring props, uniforms and other things that we might be able to use during their shoot. This is what Trynity did and not only did we have a lot of fun, we got some amazing portraits that she and her parents absolutely love.
