Yesterday I got an emergency call from the Arroyo Grande Community Hospital. It was their VP of Philanthropy. Turns out they are up against a hard deadline on a brochure to help raise money for an emergency room expansion and their photographer flaked out at the last minute. I had photographed their new rehab center about a year ago for the architects so she call me. The catch was they needed the photos the next day, so it was a bit of a photo emergency. The ER staff was amazing, between helping their patients they were able to pose for some very quick shots then get back to saving lives and making little kids scream like I’d never heard before.
