How do great architects win design awards? By getting great professional photos of their projects. These are some of the projects I recently photographed that have helped win awards for the amazing architects who designed them. The photos have also been chosen to be published in the book, Architecture on the Central Coast. Great architects need great architecture photography to show off their work and express their vision in the best way possible.
Bowin Residence, San Luis Obispo, CA
An extensive residential remodel designed by Studio 2G Architects. What was a plain small 2 bedroom house is now a cozy work of art. The remodel included adding a master suite off the back as well as several wonderfully designed outdoor living areas able to accommodate guest in a way that much larger homes can offer.
The Madonna Apartments, San Luis Obispo, CA
A remodel project for low income housing designed by Fraser Seiple Architects. This project takes low income housing to a new level. The older apartments were completely remodeled inside and out and the grounds were relandscaped to create a more welcome and inviting vibe.
Mindbody Headquarters, San Luis Obispo, CA
The unique Mindbody Headquarters was designed by RRM Design Group and built by JW Design & Construction. This is the newest building that make up the Mindbody campus in San Luis Obispo. The companies circular logo can be seen reflected throughout the design of the interior spaces.
Rosetta Building, San Luis Obispo, CA
The amazing Rosetta Building was designed by Garcia Architecture + Design and built by JW Design & Construction. This is truly one of San Luis Obispo counties more unique buildings. It features a wide variety of wonderfully combined building materials on the exterior while the interior offers a beautiful symphony of clean lines and shapes that is truly an experience to see and photograph.
The Butler Hotel
Remodeled from an old auto garage to a unique downtown San Luis Obispo hotel with a small bed and breakfast feel. Designed by Garcia Architects, this repurposed building was originally a kit building made by Butler Manufacturer Company, thus the name The Butler Hotel. Each room is uniquely furnished with a mid century modern style and features large modern art paintings on the walls. The beautifully restored Airstream trailer is used for parties and special events.
